If implemented
in the right way, technology can be used as a tool to facilitate both teaching
and learning inside and outside of the classroom. Here are some more ideas that
can help with implementation of technology.
1) Opens
up other’s perspectives
Technology
can help students see the view points of others. Students sometimes fail to see things outside
of their perspective. Technology broadens
their views.
2)
Expands Learning
Students
are not rooted in the classroom seat any longer. Learning is now on the go and teachers can
send the students out to expand the learning environment while still staying
connected.
3) Students
learn at the own pace
Technology
allows students to learn at their own pace.
Students that progress at a faster pace can move deeper into the content
while others can take their time in getting a better understanding of the information
before moving on. Teachers can also
provide students with other resources to help gain a better understanding of
the information at their pace as well.
4) Time
Saver
No
longer is time needed to grade assessments.
Technology provides self graded assignments and they help teachers track
progress at a quicker rate. Technology
also provides avenues for collaboration and gives students quicker feedback
from teachers and peers.
5)
Practice, Practice, Practice
Technology
allows students to keep trying to get it correct before they move on to the
next item.
6) Share
your voice
Technology
provides many different opportunities for students to present their learning in
any manner they choose.
